Coronavirus Pandemic – Business Continuity Plan.pdf

As we face this unprecedented time of restrictions stemming from the impact of the Coronavirus pandemic at Porkka we are trying to do our part to protect our families and colleagues, minimise the spread of the virus and mitigate the impact on our business and communities.  We would like to also highlight some of the steps we have undertaken and to provide assurance that every effort will be taken to minimise any impact to our customers.

We are focusing on the health of our employees and customers and we have implemented all relevant measures in line with the published advice from Government and Health Authorities. We are continuously monitoring the development of the situation and updating our measures as more is communicated.

Like many businesses, there are a number of risks we may face in the coming weeks; workforce reduction due to infection of our employees, the need to temporarily close our factories,  warehouses or offices due to the infection of employees and possible delays in the supply of after sale parts or capital equipment. However, we have strategic stocks of both components and finished goods in each business area to ensure continuity of supply.

However, we have strategic stocks of both components and finished goods in each business area to ensure continuity of supply.

In order to address these risks, we have and will implement all relevant health measures for our employees through our CoVid-19 understanding, in line with appropriate State recommendations. Additional measures for business continuity include isolating employees with essential business functions by implementing remote working. All customer and supplier contact will be via phone, email and skype for the foreseeable future. Further, our Production and Purchasing Management is augmenting our Business Continuity Plan to reflect the current situation and is constantly reviewing  supply channels and alternatives, as a matter of precaution, should there be a shortage of production components in the coming months due to the increasing impact of the virus to the global economy.

To date, we have experienced no disruption in maintaining the level of supplies and parts needed for our manufacturing process to enable uninterrupted service to our customers.

While we appreciate that we are in uncertain times, we are confident that, together, we can work through this crisis.
